This is a gangster yarn the way it was meant to be. ![]() The story is engaging, atmospheric, and puts you on the edge of your seat. I have never seen the film adaptation of “Road to Perdition” with Tom Hanks, but being a fan of the gangster/noir genre, it has always piqued my interest, and when I saw the graphic novel that inspired the film at a local used bookstore, I snatched it right up. Now Michael and his boy are on the run and on a mission of vengeance across Prohibition-era America, being gunned at by not only his former Irish godfather’s thugs, but also those of the notorious gangster Al Capone…. ![]() When his son sneaks in on a mission with him and is witness to one of his hits, his employers strike back and kill his wife and other son. He is also the chief enforcer for the Irish Mob. ![]() ![]() Michael O’Sullivan is a dearly loved father and family man that would do anything for his children and wife. ![]()
